confessions of a fabric obsessive

old pair of jeans

Looking at yet another pair of jeans that my son has outgrown the other day, I thought “how many ways can you reuse old jeans?”

So being me, I had a look on the interwebnet thingy, and these are just some of my favourites.

(I also have two favourite things that I love doing with old jeans that I couldn’t find anywhere out there in internet-land yet.)

I really ought to have a go at a tutorial of my own, I read and post so many of other people’s.

Mmm, I’ll work it out and get back to you on that.

In the meantime these army favourite things-to-do-with-old-jeans tutes.

Did I miss any of your faves?

You know, I don’t think I’ve ever sewn jeans before! But I LOVE the Gee’s Bend quilts that incorporate denim:

    I bet they’re very warm!

I love quilts using denim. The number of pairs of jeans that my two teenagers have gone through in the last 6 or 7 years, makes me wish I’d seen these earlier and kept their old jeans to use.
I bet they wear well too.

I love making my knee length skirts out of my old jeans when they split at the seams or go at the knee.
